Vårstavi, the home of psychiatrist Poul Bjerre, was a gathering place for cultural figures such as Carl Milles, Amelie Posse, Prince Eugen and Ellen Key. Shaped by Bjerre’s ideas on psychotherapy, peace and social engagement, the home integrated art and nature into healing and recreation.
Today, Vårstavi remains a space for culture and community, and since 2025 it has been managed by Botkyrka Municipality, inaugurated with a festival to welcome a new era.
